Introducing Parrot’s latest drone with thermal imaging

French tech brand Parrot has unveiled a new drone edition, based on its famous Anafi, which comes loaded with a thermal imaging camera boasting a temperature range of -10 to +400°C. The Parrot Anafi Thermal pack is due out at the end of May 2019 priced from US$1,900.

Here, the FLIR radiometric thermal camera is paired with a 4K camera with a 3x lossless zoom. The drone’s gimbal tilts vertically to +/- 90° in order to film all kinds of terrain from various angles. Images from the two cameras can be merged directly via the Parrot FreeFlight 6 app. The drone offers a comfortable 26-minute flight time and can be piloted over WiFi within a range of up to 4km.

The Anafi range is known for its lightweight design (315g) and ease of use. Indeed, this foldable, ultra-compact drone can be deployed and operational in just three seconds.

Aimed essentially at professional users (in the construction industry or public safety operations, for example), this new drone has a practical function that automatically returns it to its take-off point, and promises wind resistance of up to 50 km/h.

As well as the drone, this pack notably includes a Skycontroller long-range remote control, three smart batteries, a multi-port USB charger, a 16GB microSD card and spare propeller blades.
